Memory Handling Running Internet Explorer 7 (IE 7) and Earlier

Internet Explorer 7 does not dispose of memory allocated when playing large files on web pages. Consequently, users may experience performance degradation when playing and posting multiple shows or large shows, when Internet Explorer 7 or earlier is installed. Closing browser windows within MashCast, or within Internet Explorer 7, will not release the memory.

Upgrading to Internet Explorer 8, available at http://www.microsoft.com/windows/internet-explorer/default.aspx, will allow your browser to release memory after the user navigates away from the page, thereby preserving application, browser, and system performance.

Alternately, Firefox 3 does not appear to exhibit the memory allocation issue described above.
